Consecutive back to back charters include a scenic flight from Derby to the Buccaneer Archipelago or vice versa.This is a fantastic bonus as it reduces time sailing to the destination and gives another view of the Kimberley. We offer 5 ,7 and 10 day tours combining fishing and exploring and dive tours to the Rowley Shoals .Should you book the whole boat we will run the tour to your personal choice.We prefer to run with our published schedule for the convenience of all concerned. If you prefer more fishing or more exploring we will try to place you with a like minded group etc. We cater for specialist groups such as Very Keen Fishers,Bush walkers, Photographers, Bird Watchers,, Educational groups or people who just want to relax and let our crew take you on an adventure. All you have to do to make a booking is inform us of your required tour or dates and use the online booking form . Bookings will only be confirmed upon Unreel Adventure Safaris receiving a deposit amounting to 20% of the total trip cost. The balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to the date of departure or your booking may be cancelled. Items you need to bring are: light tropical style clothing, a hat with a wide brim is recommended, a pair of walking shoes that you don't mind getting wet, some warm clothing for the nights (bring some long pants), sunscreen, a towel,a camera with plenty of film or memory and battery, and some personal insect repellent. King Tide has ample 240v power outlets and far too many laptops so you can enjoy your creativity efforts. Please keep your luggage to a minimum and pack it in a small soft bag. You do not need to bring a lot and most people tend to over pack. If you choose to bring your own fishing gear keep it limited to just a rod and reel and lures. Bring a mask and snorkel snorkel if you wish, but viibility and safety in strong tide Kimberley waters limit the appeal . We supply all fishing, crabbing and oyster gathering equipment and bait etc If required we can supply secure vehicle storage for you if you drive to Derby. Until our liquor licence is granted. Alcohol and soft drinks can be pre-ordered and we will have them on the boat and chilled for you when you arrive. Please order well in advance if you are on a fly out tour as we must load your drinks with the tour before you. We have HF Radio communications direct to maritime emergency providers and the RFDS. We also have a satellite phone on board in case of emergencies. Also carried on board the vessel is a fully comprehensive RFDS medical kit. Our vessels are designed with ease of access for any person with limited mobility due to injury or excessive drinking. Food for Your PleasureOur delightful French cook and hostess Virginie prepares simple healthy food in our well equipped galley from fresh local ingredients each day. A developing fusion of European, Asian and Fishy Australian flavours. A cooked breakfast is served every second day and fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, eggs and orange juice are available each morning. Lunches can include fresh fish cooked in many ways, mud crabs, cold meat selections, Sashimi, salads, fruit platters and BBQ's. Naughty nibbles are supplied at the cocktail hour, along with yet another glorious sunset. Cold beers and wine are just off the ice. The evening meals can include dishes such as fresh fish, Thai and Indian curries,Laksa, pasta good old Aussie BBQ's, poultry,fresh vegetables and salads. We all love to eat and we all love to cook. If you are very good we might even have icecream and chocolate.
How to get hereTour prices include transfers from your resort accommodation in Broome or Derby to and from the Aerodrome or vessel. Ozjet are starting a regular run from Perth to Derby see www.ozjet.com.au for details. The standard way is to come on a commercial airline to Brome such as Qantas and get a connecting flight to Derby. There are several options to get from Broome to Derby. Golden Eagle aviation offer flights and is a general airline run. It departs Derby at 12:00pm and arrives in Broome at 12:30pm and departs Broome at 2:00 pm and arrives in Derby at 2:30 pm. these flights run from Monday to Saturday. The price $350 return. Budget car hire does drop off deals from Broome to Derby. An 11 seater maxi taxi is available for approximately $450 one way We can also organise a charter flight from any destination in the Kimberley. We highly recommend to take out travel insurance before traveling. For example We had a client embed a large treble hook in his arm, the barbs were not crushed and it could not be removed by the crew. We took him to the paramedic on Cockatoo Island who could also not do anything. He had to hire a light aircraft to fly him to Broome ( accompanied by his wife), visit the hospital and find accommodation that night. We organized a flight by seaplane the next morning which does not come cheap to meet the vessel at 10am and he was back in action. His $100 travel insurance policy covered the whole lot, a good investment!
